ITINERARY

1
Day 1
  • We begin our journey with the Valley of Balls. This is the most mysterious sight in the Mangistau region, which has been puzzling scientists all over the world. Still no one can understand how in the middle of the vast steppe the stones of a clear round shape appeared.

  • The main attraction of Tuzbair - the same name saline. In Kazakh it is called «sor», which means the type of saline that has no flow and is shallow. Sores are formed in depressions no more than one and a half meters deep.

Day 2
  • The second day is focused on exploring the bottom of the ancient Tethys ocean. The Bozzhira tract is a chain of residual mountains of different shapes, located at the bottom of a canyon in the western part of the Ustyurt plateau.

  • Millions of years ago, during the Mesozoic period, these lands were hidden under water. All the rocks of the tract are formed by sandstone and cretaceous layers. Fossilized algae and shells are still common throughout the territory.

  • The Kyzylkup Valley is created from colored marine deposits. A blurred chalk layer with a layer of red chalk, more than 10 kilometers long.

  • The highlight of the tour will be visiting the Necropolis and the underground mosques of Mangystau, which are still places of mass pilgrimage. Necropolis and underground mosques of Mangystau are included in the list of 100 sacral objects of Kazakhstan.
